Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate…December 16 is National Chocolate-covered Anything Day! You have a plethora of choices when it comes to what to cover with chocolate. Strawberries immediately come to mind and pretzels are also a favorite, but what about chocolate-covered chips or bacon? Now we are talking true chocolate connoisseurs!
Chocolate Covered Strawberries
1/2 lb fresh strawberries
3 ounces chocolate
1 Cover a baking sheet with non-stick baking paper.
2 Break up the chocolate and place in a small metal bowl.
3 Place over a saucepan of hot water and heat until melted.
4 Remove from the heat and stir.
5 Do not remove the leaves from the strawberries.
6 Dip into the chocolate, leaving part of the fruit uncovered.
7 Place on the non-stick baking paper and leave until the chocolate is dry and set.
